Conferences & Professional Development
The Center for Gifted Education’s (CFGE) mission is to provide a learning community that values and fosters the talent development process of individuals over the lifespan. The CFGE's professional development programs support this mission as we work with individuals at local, state, national, and international levels to foster talent within our professional community. The goals for our professional development programs are to promote leadership and exemplary practice within the broad study of giftedness and talent development. We meet our goals by providing a range of professional development options programs, services, and materials to educators, policy makers, researchers, parents, and graduate students in support of the needs of gifted and talented individuals over the life span.
The 2E-Twice Exceptional Conference, National Curriculum Network Conference, and Advanced Placement Summer Institute are the annual events held on the William & Mary campus for K–12 administrators, teachers, coordinators, and counselors.
The Center also offers Customized Professional Development and online, asynchronous, self-paced trainings on the Professional Development Online Academy.
