The conference focuses on twice-exceptional (high-ability with learning differences or neurodiverse) children both at home and school. The Advanced Placement (AP) Summer Institute is endorsed by the College Board. Teachers learn about specific course content, teaching strategies, and programmatic ideas and issues.
The purpose of this PD Online Summer Institute is to provide teachers and administrators with the knowledge and skills to use high quality curriculum within effective programs for advanced learners. The Institute is held each June. Participants select one sessions to attend all day. Each session offers intensive training in a particular area of curriculum development and implementation.
This one-day online workshop is designed for teachers of the gifted, gifted program coordinators, other district and building-level administrators, and all classroom teachers who want to enhance their ability to differentiate appropriately for their high ability students.
