Pennie Brown
Engineering at Home
Mr. Brown is a retired educator, serving 42 years in Virginia schools, and has returned to the classroom as a CTE teacher for Hampton City Schools. He holds a Bachelor's and a Master’s degree from Old Dominion University and is an instructor for the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources, as well as for the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. Mr. Brown has taught numerous SEP classes for William & Mary’s, including Lego Robotics.

Jennifer Callison has worked in the field of education for twenty years, including six years teaching the English Language Arts curriculum developed by the College of William and Mary Center for Gifted Education, and two years training teachers on how to successfully utilize these units in their classroom.
Mark Ekstrom
Statistics: What the Numbers Tell Us
Mr. Ekstrom grew up in northern California and attended Stanford University. He studied music and languages and majored in econometrics, an exciting blend of economics and statistics. After working in marketing, public relations and advertising, Mr. Ekstrom settled in Williamsburg. He has been teaching math for 10 years.
Michelle Hudgins

Ms. Michelle Hudgins teaches high school English in Gloucester County and feels the five years spent teaching Creative Writing have been especially impactful. Ms. Hudgins completed her Master’s in Secondary Education at Old Dominion University and is currently finishing her final course within the Graduate Certificate Literature program. Having participated in the Eastern Virginia Writing Project and Camp Launch at William & Mary, she is excited to continue growing and sharing her love of writing with students.

Ms. Ignacio is a Registered Nurse and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Old Dominion University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Norfolk State University and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from South University. She has taught human anatomy and physiology classes at the Center for Gifted Education.
Dr. Renee Kingan

Dr. Renee Kingan earned a PhD in American Studies from William and Mary, and is in her eighteenth year teaching Literary Arts at the York County School of the Arts in Williamsburg. In addition to teaching creative writing and literature, Dr. Kingan is a YCSD instructional technology trainer.
Steve Prince
The World is a Cartoon!
Mr. Prince is the Director of Engagement and Distinguished Artist in Residence at the Muscarelle Museum at William & Mary. He received his BFA from Xavier University of Louisiana and his MFA in Printmaking and Sculpture from Michigan State University. Mr. Prince has created numerous commissioned works and has shown his art internationally in various solo, group, and juried exhibitions.
Sue Sydow
It's Time to Code Your Own Game
Mrs. Sydow grew up in northern California and graduated from Santa Clara University and The College of William and Mary. She earned her BS in marketing and business technology and received her MA.Ed in curriculum instruction. After working 15 years in product management for the tech industry, Mrs. Sydow retired in Williamsburg with her family. In 2007, she career-switched to teach STEM and Economics for K12 students in WJCC.
