Pursuing a Curious Classroom
How do teachers foster inquiry in a standards-based world? Join us for this two-day workshop series as we restore curiosity and inquiry into our classroom conversations. Based on Harvey Daniels’ bestseller, The Curious Classroom, these workshops will provide well-planned, organized strategies for getting started right away, and they will focus on building text sets and plans for learning that we can all use right away!

And More! We’ll explore these structures with a focus on building non-fiction literacy for our learners, so come prepared to learn from your colleagues and to leave with loads of great resources!
Facilitator: Lori Wall is a lifelong learner and master teacher. She currently serves as an elementary instruction supervisor for Newport News Schools and is adjunct faculty for William & Mary School of Education’s Literacy Leadership program.
