How we stack up
A strong academic program coupled with award-winning faculty engaged in the latest research and school trends produces a high-quality education. The School of Education consistently has a strong showing when it comes to rankings conducted by magazines, newspapers, websites and academics.
In March 2016, the School of Education was rated 51st in the U.S. News & World Report rankings. In the report, William & Mary ranked 34th among a national sample of school system superintendents and 51st overall. We also ranked 39th in a national survey of doctoral degree granting schools of education by U.S. News & World Report’s 2010 Best Graduate Schools Guide.

Accreditation
Professional education programs in the School of Education are nationally recognized and accredited by the Virginia Department of Education. The School of Education is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
