Profile
Dr. Wilkerson joins the William & Mary faculty in 2022. His research foci include equity issues in education, school improvement in low-performing schools, school accountability, principal support and development, and the nexus that exists among the factors of class, race, and ethnicity in educational leadership. Wilkerson received his Doctorate in Education degree (Educational Leadership and Cultural Foundations) from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He received both his Master's and Bachelor of Arts degrees (History) from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Wilkerson is an active member of both the University Council of Educational Administration (UCEA) and the American Educational Research Association (AERA). Wilkerson is an avid sports fan and a Life Member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
