Susannah Wood, M.Ed. '00, Ph.D. '06
Susannah Wood has been named for the University of Iowa College of Education's 2011-2012 Collegiate Teaching Award, the school's top teacher award. Dr. Wood is a 2000 graduate of the M.Ed. program and earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education in 2006 from the College of William and Mary School of Education.
Dr. Wood recently became tenured and holds numerous awards.
At Commencement in 2006 she was awarded the Margaret, The Lady Thatcher Medallion for Scholarship, Character, and Service. This award is given annually at the School of Education Commencement Ceremony to a graduate student who embodies the traits of scholarship, character, and service within the School of Education and the College Community.
In 2009 she was awarded the North Central Association of Counselor Education and Supervision (NCACES) Research Award. NCACES is one of 5 regions of the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES) (national). ACES itself is a division of the American Counseling Association. The NCACES Research Award is designed to honor significant research in the profession including the areas of counseling, counselor education, or counselor supervision.
