Mrs. McBride was honored to be selected as her school's Teacher of the Year and the York County School Division's High School Teacher of the Year. In addition, she was selected as the Langley Chapter Air Force Association Teacher of the Year. Nominees for this award come from the entire Peninsula region.
She will also have some new experiences beginning with the upcoming school year. She will be serving on the school's leadership team as Science Department Chair. "I am very excited about this opportunity both to serve my department and faculty as well as to learn new insights into the behind-the-scenes workings of a school. This knowledge will be very useful since I am starting graduate work for my master's as a member of the new EPPL cohort at W&M in August. I am very much looking forward to being back in the School of Education!"
"I am thankful for the preparation I received at W&M which has allowed me to experience such success and I am excited to be returning to continue my education there in the very near future."
