Science Leadership Opportunities:
This program enahances knowledge and builds a community of practice focused on continuous improvement. This program gives leaders the resources to support teacher success and moves toward comparability in resources between high- and low-poverty schools.
The new science coordinators academy participants will
(1) hone science leadership skills.
(2) develop a district-level, inquiry-based science strategic plan.
(3) review standards-based curricula.
(4) establish a science community of practice.
(5) use data to make program decisions and improve student achievement.

Attend New Science Coordinators' Academy 3 days in fall (Oct. 2nd-3rd, 2013), and 2 days in spring (April 17th-18th, 2014)

Attend 1-2 days of elementary science institute if teachers from your school district are attending. |
Attend VSELA conference, 2 days in fall (Nov. 13-14, 2013) |
