Save the date! Exploring Artificial Intelligence Spring Conference returns March 16, 2026!
We are honored to welcome Dr. Douglas C. Schmidt ’84, M.A. ’86, the inaugural Dean of William & Mary’s School of Computing, Data Sciences & Physics as our keynote speaker. An internationally recognized computing expert with over 30 years of experience, he has held leadership roles in academia, government, and industry. Prior to William & Mary, Dr. Schmidt served as Director of Operational Test and Evaluation for the U.S. Department of Defense and was a Cornelius Vanderbilt Professor of Engineering at Vanderbilt University, where he advanced research and digital learning initiatives. His work spans mission-critical software systems, model-driven engineering, and emerging AI technologies. A prolific author with more than 700 publications and 50,000 citations, Dr. Schmidt continues to shape the future of computing and data science education.
