Profile
Dr. Dwayne White is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at William & Mary. He is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Georgia and Alabama, a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC). With over seven years of experience, Dr. White has supported community and governmental organizations in counseling, advocacy, operations management, and program development and implementation. His primary research interests focus on the wellness and liberation of Black LGBTQIA+ individuals. Additionally, Dr. White's secondary research interests are related to exploring the use of humanistic and postmodern approaches in counseling and counselor education.
