Profile
Dr. Harris teaches graduate courses about learning design, learning contexts, and teaching and professional learning in digital spaces. She also offers doctoral-level courses about qualitative research design and methods, and mentors and collaborates with students doing nonpositivistic research.
Currently, Dr. Harris's research and professional service focus upon the development, expression and assessment of technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK)—the knowledge used to teach with educational technologies—and the pedagogical reasoning, action and reflection that operationalize teachers' knowledge, especially as it is expressed during planning.
Many of her open-access publications—articles, chapters, books, and conference papers—can be downloaded via W&M’s ScholarWorks. Her collaborative TPACK work for K-12 teachers and educational technology researchers is licensed in the Creative Commons for nonprofit educational use.
