Course Description:

This class introduces young children to early math concepts, while also laying the foundation for higher-level thinking. Through movement, music, and playful hands-on activities, math becomes an adventure. By starting early, students strengthen both their math skills and problem-solving abilities—building the confidence and creativity that they will need to tackle more advanced learning as they grow.
STEM into Science

Course Description:
Who is ready to have hands-on experience with Science? The goal is to provide hands-on learning to help students engage in science. Students who do hands-on activities tend to remember more of what they were taught. During this course, students will build rockets, build 3-D diagrams of solar systems, create weather tools, use household items, and use a variety of edible treats to show the physical changes of the Earth. Using what they learn, from each activity, students will be able to identify the steps of the scientific process.

Welcome to Drawing Class, where your imagination takes the lead! Whether you are a doodler or a detail-lover, this class is all about exploring your creativity. From sketching basics to bold masterpieces, we will dive into techniques that make your ideas come to life. Grab your pencils, let’s turn those blank pages into works of art!
Spatial Problem Solving and Puzzles

Course Description:
Young innovators will stretch their spatial reasoning skills through a series of hands-on challenges and mind-bending puzzles in both two and three dimensions. Students will explore the fascinating connections between dimensions as they experiment with paper folding, flexagons, tangrams, Polydrons, and Möbius strips. They will design and construct 3-D cube structures, create precise 2-D projections, and develop isometric drawings that bring their visual-spatial thinking to life. This course encourages curiosity, creativity, and advanced problem-solving through mathematical exploration and design.

Course Description:
Welcome to debate and public speaking. Students will be introduced to public speaking and will practice these skills while debating important current and/or historical topics that influence American society today. This is an “On your feet” competitive and highly participatory course that is geared toward the development and enhancement of communication for both debating and public speaking. Students will learn how to prepare arguments for and against a position, listen and learn critical thinking, and how to speak persuasively on a topic.
