Megan A. Rook '13
Will pursue a career in Marriage and Family Counseling
Megan Rook, a masters student in the Family Counseling program, has been selected as one of fifteen Honorable Mentions by the American Counseling Association Foundation's (ACAF) 2012 Graduate Student Essay Contest. Of the more than 100 entries in this competition, Ms. Rook's was selected for its insight into an important issue facing counseling, as well as for being thoughtful and very well written. The award includes one paid 2012 conference registration.
Ms. Rook got her B.A. in Zoology from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2006 and a M.S. in Biology at the College of William and Mary in 2009. She is and Adjunct Professor of Biology at Thomas Nelson Community College.
She plans to have a career in Marriage and Family Counselor specializing in couples counseling, as well as addictions counseling for the entire family.
