Miller Analogy Test Dates

To test during this time, we recommend checking with other MAT testing centers to determine whether it is possible to test at a different location.

The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a standardized test that is accepted by some programs in Schools of Education for admission purposes. We offer this test via computer as a service to our applicants and the community. 

Please be aware that the GRE can be used for many of our graduate programs;  the MAT can only be used for a few of them.  Those programs include all of the doctoral programs in Educational Policy, Planning and Leadership. You cannot use the MAT for any program in counseling, school psychology, or counselor education.

Timing:

The test is 60 minutes long, and contains 120 analogies. You should allow about 1.5 hours to take the test as the demographic information required takes about 20-30 minutes to complete. This section must be completed before you actually start the test. You should plan on arriving at the School of Education 10-15 minutes prior to your test session.
