February has been so good to me
February has been so good to me! In the beginning of the month, I was notified I am one of the recipients for the NBCC Minority Fellowship program. I am so excited especially since this is the first fellowship I have ever applied and it was given to me to further serve the population I am most passionate about: Hispanic immigrant families. I was awarded for the work I have done and what I want to do in the future. I also applied and interviewed for the Counselor Education Ph.D. program here at the College of William and Mary. I am just anxiously waiting for their decisions. It is so exciting to see where the future takes me. Sadly, it looks like I will not be returning home to Texas right after graduation but I am excited for what is to come. I am also excited to present in the Research Symposium held here at the School of Education in March as a group and individually. I am really proud that I pushed myself to present. I will also be presenting with my group again in the VCDA conference in April. And then of course, who can forget graduation!!!!
