D.C. Trip
I am so excited about this weekend! I have been waiting for this weekend to come for about a month now and now its finally here. My younger sister’s high school band will be traveling to D.C for their annual band trip. I am taking advantage of this opportunity to drive to D.C. to visit my sister and enjoy a much needed break. As of now, it looks like we will be visiting museums Friday, Six Flags America all day Saturday, and finally I will see my sister’s high school band perform on Sunday. I am so excited to get a piece of home especially since I have been feeling homesick for the past couple of days. As a bonus, I also get to catch up with my old high school band director. I even get to take my dog with me! With my summer schedule being so hectic, I feared that I wasn’t going to be able to see my family until Christmas. But everything seems to be falling into place. I get to see my sister this weekend and I made room to go home before and after the summer semester starts, even if it’s shorter than I would like.
