The beginning of the end
As a second year school psychology student here at W&M, my life is a little crazy right now. The schools are flooded with special education referrals and project due dates are quickly approaching. It is hard to believe that my time here in Williamsburg is coming to a close! In less than two months I will no longer be attending classes, completing essays, or studying for finals. I have spent the last two years in classes and working with some great professors and the best classmates a girl could ask for. When this year ends, we will be going our separate ways to complete the internship experience required for the Ed.S. degree. I am excited to move to the D.C. area, but the feeling is bittersweet. I have truly enjoyed my time here at W&M, and leaving this town and this school will be sad. Taking my dog for walks down DoG street on farmer’s market Saturday’s and visiting the deli’s for a meal or a drink at the end of a long week have come to be a comfortable routine. While leaving will be difficult, I know that I am as prepared as I possibly could be for the challenges that lie ahead thanks to my fantastic program, and I have made connections and friendships that will last me a lifetime. I am so grateful for the opportunities that W&M has given me, and I will be forever thankful for the people that have helped to mold me into a career-ready individual.
