Thanksgiving and Yankee Candle
As Thanksgiving rolled around this year, I was fortunate not to have to brave the holiday traffic to see my family. Being able to enjoy this very long weekend with the people I love is such a nice break from the hustle and bustle that is generally the life of a graduate student here at William and Mary. With internship application deadlines right around the corner and final projects and exams looming, it can be all too easy to lose your head and get a little bit crazy from the seemingly never-ending to-do list that is life. I took advantage of this weekend and cleared my head by visiting some of the local attractions like Jamestown and CW, enjoying delicious Thanksgiving and holiday meals, and of course, taking advantage of the Black Friday sales with my mom, sister, and sister-in-law. My personal favorite? Yankee Candle Company. Between the great sales and the playground that is their store on Richmond Rd., We spent three hours in that one store! My dad and brother thought we were all insane, but it was so much fun!! Thanksgiving is a great time to reflect on the things we have, and I am so grateful for the chance to further my education at W&M and spend part of my life here in Williamsburg.
