Why did you choose W&M?

My grandfather chose W&M for me a week before he unexpectedly passed away. He told me that he expected me to obtain my doctorate (even though I had two Master's degrees), and he handed me a blank check written to W&M for my application fee. I chose the Executive Ed.D. program because it was rigorous, with flexible and diverse options that met my needs as a wife and mother working in a high-stress central office position.

What is your favorite ?

My favorite thing about the program is the cohort model and the accountability and support offered by amazing researchers and faculty. The faculty's humility is unmatched. The faculty's high expectations and support went a long way for me as I strived to learn, grow, and apply the research to my work as a practitioner.

How has attending W&M impacted your career to date?

As I've had to navigate challenges throughout my career, I've been able to lean on faculty from W&M for support and advice, just as I did when I was a student/doctoral candidate. I'm proud to stand firm in the fact that I went through a rigorous academic process at one of the country's oldest, most prestigious institutions of higher education. "Go Tribe" is not just a saying; it's a lifelong opportunity to be a part of something great.
