New book offers guide to strategic partnerships
Professor Pamela Eddy’s book Creating Strategic Partnerships: A Guide for Educational Institutions and Their Partners was published recently. Professor Eddy co-wrote the book with Professor Marilyn J. Amey of Michigan State University.
The book is a resource for institutional and organizational leaders seeking to develop and maintain strategic partnerships. The authors begin with a differentiation between traditional and strategic partnerships and go on to describe a three-phase model of the development process of collaboration. The book also provides a tool box for leaders charged with partnering and leading organizational change, and includes a template for both creating new partnerships and sustaining existing ones. The authors use case studies to illustrate the ideas presented in each chapter to facilitate a deeper understanding of the concepts, as well as training in classes. The book is available from Stylus.
