Richard Hodges Presents at New Horizon's 2013
Speaking on Critical Thinking and Successful Online Search Strategies
Richard Hodges, Ed.D student in the Educational Policy, Planning and Leadership program, presented his research at the Virginia Community College System's New Horizon's conference in Roanoke. Richard's presentation, Information Literacy: Critical Thinking and Successful Online Search Strategies discussed how community college students can improve their critical thinking and online search skills through Information Literacy education. Richard is the Director of Learning Resources at Thomas Nelson Community College.
The New Horizon's conference is the largest single event sponsored by the Virginia Community College System (VCCS)each year. This year's three day event featured over 130 presentations, approximately 60 vendors and 900 attendees. The VCCS began in 1966 and consists of 23 institutions located throughout Virginia.
