SURN Programs
SURN Programs
The School-University Resource Network (SURN) develops programs for building level instructional leaders, teacher leaders, and superintendents as well as other school leaders on critical educational leadership and instructional issues. SURN works with 38 Virginia school districts to conduct relevant research and provide professional development in order to promote quality teaching and learning. Today, these 38 Virginia school districts actively participate in SURN through providing access to their schools, faculty, and students for research; and participating in professional development. Such programs are created to address needs identified by SURN Superintendents.
NOTICE:
William & Mary has approved in-person events for 2024-2025. This includes events sponsored by any recognized student organization and other affiliated groups.
Open for Registration:

Certification Points
SURN follows the VDOE guidelines for relicensure in terms of providing documentation for our events.
Refunds/Cancellations
Cancellation requests must be received and confirmed by the office within 21 business days prior to the event by email (surn@wm.edu) to account for event expenses. You may substitute a nonregistered person in your place at any time.
