M.Ed. in Counseling – Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Prepare for a career that transforms lives. William & Mary’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program develops skilled, culturally responsive counselors who promote mental health, wellness and resilience across diverse populations and settings.

Grounded in a wellness and human development framework, the program emphasizes prevention, advocacy, evidence-based practice and social justice. Students learn to support individuals, families and groups while addressing both mental health challenges and the factors that contribute to long-term well-being.
