Licensure

All candidates for initial and advanced licensure will apply for their Virginia license through Virginia Licensure Online (VALO). If you are completing a program that leads to initial licensure, please use the forms below. These programs include Elementary PK-6, Secondary 6-12, Special Education K-12, ESL PK-12, School Counseling, and School Psychology.

  (complete Part I only)

College Verification Forms cannot be completed until your degree confers. This is generally the Monday following graduation. To request a completed College Verification Form, complete Part I and email your form and the certificates of completion for your statutory trainings to [[adlawrence]]

If you are completing an add-on endorsement program in Administration and Supervision PK-12 or Reading Specialist, your school division’s human resource department can submit your application to the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) to add additional endorsement(s).
