Full Description
The 2025 School-University Partnership Project Award is a statewide recognition honoring collaborative initiatives between Virginia's higher education institutions and K-12 school divisions that enhance student learning, well-being and teacher preparation. The award celebrates Camp EAGER, an experimental summer camp developed by researchers at the William & Mary School of Education that explores innovative ways to encourage more students from underrepresented groups to pursue STEM careers. The partnership was recognized on April 3 at the VACTE Spring Conference held at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland.
Faculty members Robert D. and Patricia Lee Pavey Family Co-Chair in Instructional Technology and Associate Professor of Science Education, Meredith Kier, and Robert D. and Patricia Lee Pavey Family Co-Chair in Instructional Technology, Associate Professor of Education and Chair, Curriculum & Instruction, Lindy Johnson, collaborated with Tami Byron, NNPS STEM instructional supervisor and NNPS STEM Instructional Specialists Jennifer Barker and Kevin Nelhuebel on the project.
