Full Description
In the video "Spotlight Virginians: Grace Mackert," Mackert shares about her journey to becoming a project assistant at William & Mary's Training and Technical Assistance Center (T/TAC), and her colleagues attest to her strong growth mindset.
After earning her certification as a clinical medical assistant, she faced challenges finding a position in the medical field. Working with T/TAC staff, she discovered a passion for the field of education. Her current role involves developing and sharing resources to support educators working with students with disabilities.
"Grace has presented to School of Education students in introductory classes for the past three semesters about inclusive education. She's a terrific colleague," said Director of Field and Clinical Experiences, April Lawrence. Mackert credits the W&M T/TAC team with helping her practice resilience by asking for help when she feels overwhelmed and recognizing her strengths.
