Assistant Professor Amber Pope and co-author Chelsea Hilliard of Old Dominion University, have published "Promoting Counselor Trainees’ Clinical Skill Development Using Virtual Reality Simulations" in Teaching and Supervision in Counseling, the official journal of SACES. The authors discuss the use of virtual reality (VR) simulations in counselor preparation. They describe the use of VR simulations in a master’s level counseling program, with suggestions for counselor educators to ethically develop and implement VR simulations to promote clinical skill development and cultural responsiveness among trainees.
