Professor Bruce Bracken delivers Legends in School Psychology address
Professor Bruce Bracken was invited by the 24,000 member National Association of School Psychologists to deliver the 2017 Legends in School Psychology Address at the association’s annual conference in San Antonio, Texas in February. The Legends Address is intended “…to honor distinguished contributors to the field and allow them an opportunity to discuss their personal perspectives on the field.” Following Dr. Bracken’s address, "To Dream the Impossible Dream," he received an honorarium and a plaque.
Dr. Bracken was previously awarded the Senior Scientist Award by Division 16 of the American Psychological Association, Charter Fellow status in the American Educational Research Association, the Lifetime Achievement Award by the University of Georgia’s College of Education, Diplomate status in the American Board of Assessment Psychology, and Fellow status in two APA divisions. The NASP Legends in School Psychology Address, an end-of-career achievement, is the final awarded “book end” of the four national/international organizations to which Dr. Bracken is a member.
