Appointed for Commonweath Board of Counseling
Dr. Johnston M. Brendel, LPC, LMFT was named for the Board of Counseling by Governor Terry McAuliffe. The appointees will join McAuliffe’s Administration focused on finding common ground with members of both parties on issues that will build a new Virginia economy and create more jobs across the Commonwealth. The mission of the Board is to ensure safe and competent patient care by licensing health professionals, enforcing standards of practice, and providing information to health care practitioners and the public.
John is a full-time faculty member in counseling at the William & Mary School of Education. He also has a part-time private counseling practice, Blue Sky Center for Counseling.
