Michael P. Asip, 2012 Doctor of Education, Education Leadership, Special Education emphasis at the College of William & Mary, has been elected President-Elect of the Virginia Council of Administrators of Special Education (VCASE), a state affiliate of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). VCASE provides professional development for Virginia special education leaders, disseminates information regarding best practices in special education, and advocates for programs and funding that benefit students with disabilities.
Since 2008 Mike has served as Director of Exceptional Education in Chesterfield County Public Schools, the fourth largest school division in Virginia, serving more than 7000 students with disabilities and their families.
