• 2009-2013 Mathematics Standards of Learning Institutes: Professional development for teachers. Format: balance between conceptual and procedural. Includes facilitator guides, power points, handouts, etc. that can be used to replicate the training provided at the summer Math SOL Institute. There is the potential for SOL institutes to be repeated locally. For example, multiple divisions could pool resources to host regional training.

  • Mathematics Enhanced Scope and Sequence Sample Lesson Plans - Helps teachers to align instruction with the 2009 Mathematics Standards of Learning (SOL) by providing examples of how knowledge and skills found in the SOL and curriculum framework can be presented to students in the classroom.

  • Mathematics Vocabulary Word Wall Cards - Mathematics vocabulary word wall cards provide a display of mathematics content words and associated visual cues to assist in vocabulary development. Geometry word wall cards are new. VDOE is working on Algebra I & II cards.
