Stefan Vasic M.Ed. ’22, Ph.D. ’25 is an exceptional scholar whose contributions to Counselor Education are both transformative and elevating. His research, which addresses moral injury, LGBTQ+ affirming counseling and systemic oppression in mental health diagnosis, demonstrates a blend of theoretical depth and real-world relevance. Vasic’s accolades, including the Galfo Fellowship, a North Atlantic Region Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (NARACES) Research Grant and an Inclusive Excellence Grant, reflect his scholarly rigor and dedication to inclusive mental health care.

Vasic is also a gifted educator and mentor. His student-centered approach in graduate courses fosters engaging and inclusive learning environments, earning admiration from faculty and students. Vasic’s mentorship of doctoral students and clinical interns further highlights his ability to develop future leaders in counseling.
