Priorities
Four priorities emerged from the University's Planning In process required from each school and unit to realize the goals of William & Mary's strategic plan, Vision 2026. These priorities define the School of Education's ongoing, measurable impact aligned with our vision and mission.
Priority #1
Providing Programs that Serve the Commonwealth & Profession
We train education professionals who are prepared to serve an increasingly diverse population, especially in high demand areas, using multiple delivery modalities.
Priority #2
Opportunities for Sustained, Immersive Experiences
We provide all students the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to positively impact outcomes for an increasingly diverse population using co-constructed, mutually beneficial immersive experiences that are developed and delivered through partnerships.
Priority #3
Conducting Research & Scholarship of Consequence
We engage in and disseminate rigorous, ongoing and actionable research that impacts education practice and policy.
Priority #4
Building Strong & Just Institutions
We leverage partnerships to advocate vigorously for policies and practices that advance democratic principles and provide equality of educational opportunity for all, especially those who have been underserved.
