Congratulations to Associate Professor and Co-Program Coordinator for the School Counseling Program Robert Martinez! He has been selected as the 2025 W&M School of Education Dean’s Innovation Fund awardee for his study “Leveraging Cultural Resources to Enhance College Readiness: A Youth Participatory Action Research Study with First-Generation College Students.” Martinez plans to conduct a two-year research study which aims to reduce college readiness inequalities for first-generation college students and increase access to college resources for high school students through a collaborative, youth-led, four-phase approach.
