Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Project HOPE-Virginia Patricia Popp has been chosen by the National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth (NAEHCY) as a recipient of the 2024 Sandra M. Neese Lifetime Achievement Award. NAEHCY is a national nonprofit membership association dedicated to ensuring educational equity and excellence for students experiencing homelessness, and Popp was honored at their annual conference, November 16-19, in Orlando, Fla.
In their letter announcing Popp's selection, the NAEHCY Awards Committee wrote: "Your commitment to ensuring that children and youth experiencing homelessness have access to education and essential services is truly admirable. You have positively impacted countless lives, and we are incredibly honored to celebrate your contributions alongside your peers in this field."
