Full Description

Advance your career in education with our new accredited online M.A.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction, with concentrations in Leadership or Teacher Leader & Literacy. Beginning June 29, the part-time program can be completed in six semesters. Students complete 33 credit hours at $455 per credit hour.

Designed for practicing educators, the program empowers teachers to deepen their expertise and strengthen their impact without having to leave the classroom. The new program first launched last fall as a collaboration between the W&M Washington Center and community partner KIPP DC (Knowledge is Power Program). It is now enrolling education professionals from schools across the country.

Members of the inaugural cohort gave the following feedback: “The William & Mary online M.A.Ed. program is very accessible and a great way to engage in meaningful professional development with peers across the KIPP network and district, while also being able to implement our hands-on learning directly into our schools,” said Pat Wu.

JaNae Briscoe added “My time at William & Mary has stretched my thinking, sharpened my leadership, and reminded me that real change begins with the courage to question systems and the discipline to improve them.”
