As National School Counselor Week comes to a close on Friday, Feb. 6, we are proud to announce that Clinical Associate Professor Jaime Stickl Haugen has received the 2026 Outstanding Researcher Award from the Association for Child and Adolescent Counseling (ACAC). Each year, this award honors a researcher whose scholarship has meaningfully advanced the mental health of children and adolescents through work that informs practice, policy and the broader community.
A licensed Professional School Counselor in New York and Colorado, Licensed Professional Counselor (Colorado), National Certified Counselor and an Approved Clinical Supervisor, Stickl Haugen is passionate about bridging the research to practice gap through community-engaged research and intentional research dissemination. Her research interests include school counseling, student belonging, equity in education, legal & ethical issues in school counseling, and assessment and instrument development.
