Charmaine Madison M.Ed. '26, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, has been named vice president of information services and chief information officer at George Mason University in Virginia. She was previously deputy chief of the IT Enterprise Group at the Central Intelligence Agency and brings more than a decade of IT leadership experience to her role. Her appointment was recently recognized by the The Journal of Blacks in Higher Education (JBHE) and the digital monthly Women in Higher Ed.
In addition to pursuing her master's degree through the W&M School of Education's online counseling programs, Madison holds an M.B.A. from Saint Leo University in Florida, a master’s degree in information technology from the Florida Institute of Technology, a master’s degree in national security studies from the National War College and a doctorate in strategic leadership from Regent University in Virginia Beach.
