The SAIGE Ned Farley Service Award is a national award recognizing Assistant Professor Amber Pope  for her extensive service to the counseling profession, advancing LGBTQ+ inclusive practices throughAssistant Professor Amber Pope innovative training, impactful scholarship, and mentorship of students and early career professionals. Pope’s commitment to accessibility and collaboration has broadened the reach of affirming care to hundreds of counselor trainees.

“Throughout my career, one of my main efforts has been training mental health, higher education and healthcare professionals in LGBTQ+ affirming practices. It is a blessing and a privilege to do work I feel called toward,” said Pope. 

“This recognition also reflects far more than my own efforts; it represents the generosity and shared commitment of so many people. I’m deeply grateful to my mentors, colleagues, students and clients who have inspired me and trusted me to learn alongside them.”
