Congratulations to School of Education alumna Audra Vasiliauskas M.A.Ed. ’15 (Secondary English Education) on being selected as the district-wide Lucy Simms Educator of the Year.

A long tradition of showing the community’s gratitude for excellence in teaching, the school and district winners are nominated and selected by HCPS leaders and staff and recognized by the Harrisonburg Education Foundation. In addition to a personalized, limited-edition All-Star trading card, Vasiliauskas was awarded with a Lucy Simms Educator of the Year Trophy and an additional honorarium.
