Online Student Ambassadors (SAs)
Student Ambassadors (SAs) is a student-led organization designed to improve connection, promote networking and support students in the online counseling program here at William & Mary. There are various programs SAs run and host events through, like “Faculty & Student Engagement” (F.A.S.E.) chats, where students interact with faculty guests as they discuss their counseling journey and much more. Another SAs program is “Skills Lab,” which provides a supportive environment for students to practice their growing counseling skills & techniques. SAs provide many events and programs that make the online counseling space a bit less isolating of an experience, and the group aims to create stronger, smarter and more resilient future counselors in the process.
Other programs offered by SAs:
- “Newsletter” — Quarterly newsletter with resources, opportunities for professional development, & updates
- “Peer Networking” — Hosts gatherings like the “New Student Welcome” and bimonthly “Coffee Chats” to connect students
- Track-specific programming like “MVC Corner” — for those in the Military & Veterans Counseling track and “SC Corner” for those in the School Counseling Track
