Kara joined William and Mary TTAC in July of 2017 with 17 years of education experience. She has served in various positions at the school, division and regional levels including: Special Education Teacher, Instructional Specialist, and Program Specialist at Radford University and VCU’s Training and Technical Assistance Centers. She received her BS in Psychology and Child and Family Studies from Greensboro College and her M.S. in Special Education from Radford University. Kara’s areas of interest include: inclusive practices for students with disabilities, classroom/behavior management, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, self-determination, collaboration/co-teaching and instructional coaching.
