Bio
Shelley joined the William & Mary T/TAC team in July 2016 after working as a Special Education Teacher, Teacher of the Visually Impaired, and Intervention Specialist for Special Education.  Her teaching experience involved co-planning and co-teaching to include students with various disabilities in general education classrooms.  She earned her B.S. and M.S. in Special Education from Radford University, where she also taught an undergraduate level course on collaboration.  Shelley currently supports educators in the areas of structured literacy, Strategic Instruction Model™ (SIM) Content Enhancement Routines, self-determination, inclusive practices, and specially designed instruction. In addition, she serves as a University Supervisor and Adjunct Instructor for pre-service teachers at William & Mary. Shelley’s areas of interest include designing meaningful professional learning opportunities, providing coaching support to educators, and co-planning for inclusion.
