Community & Action Research Engagement

The William & Mary Community & Action Research Engagement (C.A.R.E.) Lab is intentionally designed to align with the university’s Vision 2026 strategic goals. 

Mission Statement

The C.A.R.E. Lab will serve as a hub of support for faculty, staff and students to conduct, disseminate and apply culturally responsive and social justice-oriented research that centers holistic wellness among youth, families and communities in partnership with the broader community. Community includes, but is not limited to, PK-12 schools (and related personnel), civic organizations, faith-based institutions, and other youth and family serving agencies.

Vision

The C.A.R.E. Lab will address mental health disparities and promote equitable access to high-quality behavioral, social-emotional and mental health services among youth, families and communities.
