Mollie Wilson (School Counseling)
M.Ed. in School Counseling
In May of 2011, I packed up my maroon and orange and moved back home to Williamsburg. I had experienced four amazing years up in the mountains of Blacksburg, at Virginia Tech, and was emotional to see those years come to an end; however, I was ready for my next adventure or should I say the multitude of adventures that would soon come my way. Having grown up in Williamsburg, I already knew some of the town’s charming and most favorite spots to enjoy: Colonial Williamsburg, Aromas, Jamestown Beach, Prime Outlets, Cheeseshop, Busch Gardens/Water Country USA and New Town, just to name a few. Overall, I was excited to be back but even more eager to discover new niches of Williamsburg that I had not yet experienced in my first 18 years of life here.
Williamsburg is a wonderful home and William and Mary’s School Counseling program has fit me perfectly. The smaller size of our program compared to my large school experience at Virginia Tech, has been absolutely wonderful for truly getting to know professors, classmates and for meaningful growth, both personally and professionally. I have met incredible people through my practicum experience and have made wonderful friends, with whom I attend class with, work along side of and explore all the delightful places and activities that Williamsburg has to offer. I can genuinely say that I am so happy that I returned to my green and gold roots here at William and Mary.
