Alexis (she/her) is a second year in the M.Ed. in Counseling – Clinical Mental Health program. Currently, she works as a graduate assistant in the Office of Academic Programs, and serves as a clinical intern at a local private practice. Alexis is motivated to work with women navigating perinatal mental health concerns, disordered eating, and body image struggles. She holds specific research interests in the areas of disordered eating, body image, and the impact of social media on mental health.
What's your favorite course (so far)?
My favorite course thus far was our multicultural class. I appreciated the opportunity to not only learn more about diverse cultures and communities, but about my fellow cohort members through interactive presentations and activities.
What's your favorite spot in Williamsburg?
My favorite spot in Williamsburg is Colonial Williamsburg. I deeply enjoy going on walks with friends, grabbing a coffee, and exploring the farmers market.
What's a fun fact about you?
A fun fact about me is that one of my life bucket list items is visiting all 50 states. Currently I have visited 40 out of 50!
