Principal of Smithfield Middle School in Isle of Wight County Public Schools

What are your research interests?

Deeper learning and assessment systems, new teacher programs and student mentorship.

Why did you choose W&M? 

I chose W&M three times because of the incredible professors from whom I have learned a great deal. The professors have backgrounds in a variety of important fields in education and were able to base their instruction in real life educational best practice. 

What is your favorite thing about the program? 

I truly appreciated the authentic nature of the courses. The professors ensured that their instruction was tailored to real life experiences of educators and helped prepare me for both teaching and also for leadership. 

How has attending W&M impacted your career to date? 

The network of incredible colleagues that I was able to gain from William & Mary has helped me continue to grow long after graduation.
