Joseph Nicholas (he/him) is in the Ph.D. in Counselor Education program. Previously, he graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with an M.Ed. in School Counseling. His research interests include immigrant and refugee children and the use of liberation psychology with Filipinos.
What's your favorite course (so far)?
I love Advanced Counseling Theories with Dr. Pope. It is a great way to take a deeper dive into the frameworks that shape our counseling practices.
What's your favorite spot in Williamsburg?
My wife and I love to go antiquing; so, we frequent the Williamsburg Antique Mall quite a bit. I also love burgers. Cook's Burger Bar is a wonderful example of elevating a simple dish affordably.
What's a fun fact about you?
My go to karaoke song is Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri.
