About

Ava Patricia (she/her) is a first-year student in the M.A.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction – Special Education program. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Government from William & Mary before discovering her passion for working with students, particularly students with exceptionalities. As someone who received special education services through Arlington County Public Schools, Ava is passionate about giving back to the community that supported her and helping to create welcoming, inclusive learning environments where every student feels seen, valued, and capable. She hopes to use her experiences as both a student and future educator to advocate for students with exceptionalities and celebrate the beauty of neurodiversity.
